Cunningham-Darabie named ‘outstanding family caregiver’

Shea Cunningham-Darabie, a family childcare provider in Bowling Green, has been named as an Outstanding
Family Childcare Provider for 2009 by the Toledo Association for the Education of Young Children
(TAEYC).
TAEYC held its annual professional awards evening on May 5 at Parkway Place in Maumee, honoring 29
nominees for the Shining Star Award. The candidates for Shining Star were nominated by co-workers,
parents or other professionals to give special recognition to those who work in exemplary ways with
young children, ages birth to 8.
The judges, all professionals with years of experience in the field of early childhood education, named
13 outstanding award winners this year.
Cunningham-Darabie was nominated by Heather and Brady Gaskins, parents, also of Bowling Green.Shea
