WBGU-PBS hosts Kids Extravaganza

WBGU-PBS will host its eighth annual Kids Extravaganza Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the public
television station on Troop Street in Bowling Green.
Open to the community, there will be music, food, games, crafts, face painting and much more.
"This is one of the television station’s biggest events," said Julie Albert, WBGU-PBS
Educational Services coordinator. "There will be something for every member of the family to
enjoy."
Participants can try out the inflatable obstacle course and "Zoo Bounce," try to make a hole in
one in miniature golf, decorate cookies, and play with balloon animals and other creations.
PBS KIDS host Mr. Steve will be performing music inside the station at four shows throughout the day:
10:15 and 11:15 a.m., 12:15 and 1:15 p.m.
Bring your camera to have photos taken with special guests that include favorite characters from some of
WBGU-PBS’ award-winning children’s programming: WordGirl, Raggs and WBGU-PBS’ newest friend, Ruby the
Red-Eyed Tree Frog.
The Wood County Public Library will share stories in the WBGU-PBS studio, where the crafts areas will be
set up. The Wood County Hospital, Wood County Parks and the Wood County Humane Society will have
displays.
The event that will be held rain or shine.
