Badenhop gets win in relief
Former Perrysburg High School and Bowling Green State University standout Burke Badenhop improved to 4-2
on the season, recording the win in Florida’s 10-3 victory over Milwaukee Tuesday.
Badenhop came into the game in the fourth inning after starter Anibal Sanchez was pulled in his first
start coming off the disabled list. Badenhop lasted five innings, allowing no runs and only one hit and
a walk with two strikeouts.
"(Badenhop) did a great job for us tonight, picking up all those innings," Marlins’ manager
Fredi Gonzalez said on the team’s official Web site.
In 13 games this season, Badenhop has a 4.15 earned-run average with 24 strikeouts and 10 walks in 301â„3
innings.
Reimold 0-for-2 in Orioles’ loss
SEATTLE – Former Bowling Green State University standout Nolan Reimold went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts
and a walk in Baltimore’s 8-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners.
Reimold is batting .277 (18-for-65) with five home runs and 11 RBI in 18 games this season.
Golferettes
The Bowling Green Country Club golferettes held league play on Tuesday.
Winners were: Flight A – Joyce Stearns, low net, low putts; Flight B – Sherry Haskins, low gross, low
nett; Becky Hansen, low putts; Flight C – June Long, low gross, low putts; Jackie Osborne, low net.
Jean Bateman, Becky Hansen and Long each tied for first place in the tournament of the day.
