PERRYSBURG – Deloy "Goodie" Goodman, 81, of Perrysburg, died Sunday (May 31, 2009) at Genoa
Care Center.
He was an equipment operator for Martin Marietta, Woodville, retiring in 1985.
Mr. Goodman was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Stony Ridge; F.O.E. of Rossford; Hidden Hills
Golf Club, Woodville; and Cooley Canal Yacht Club.
Born Aug. 2, 1927 in Latcha to Chester and Mabel (Hofer) Goodman, he married Lois Bookenbergern in Stony
Ridge on March 1, 1947. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, James, of Meridian, Miss.; a sister, Mary Ellen Klavinger, Northwood; three
grandchildren, Victoria Everhardt, Walbridge; Deanna Hawkins, of Meridian; and Cody Goodman, Perrysburg;
and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra Everhardt and Joan Goodman; a sister, Luella DeVerna;
and two brothers, Wilbur and Floyd Goodman.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Rev. Daniel Beaudoin will officiate. A
bereavement luncheon will follow at the church. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, at
a later date.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey, with additional visitation
beginning at 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials may made to the church, American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.
