Pemberville gets into gear for summer ?Cruisin? Nights?

PEMBERVILLE ? Pemberville will once again host its Cruisin? Nights on four Thursday nights during the
summer.
The first one will be this Thursday evening. The other shows will be held on July 9, Aug. 6 and Sept. 3.

The shows will be open to the public from 5 to 8 p.m., with registration to begin at 4:30 p.m. Eisenhour
Motors will be the site for this year?s registration, with the first 100 registrants receiving a free
give-away at each show. This Thursday?s participants will receive a 2009 Pemberville Cruisin? Night
T-shirt, compliments of the Pemberville Independent Merchants Association (PIMA).
Each evening will feature ?50s and ?60s music.
New this year will be nightly entertainment, sponsored by PIMA. Pemberville?s Hot Flashes will perform
this Thursday.
Complimentary balloon art will be offered for the kids.
Other new features will include a mini farmer?s market hosted by Beeker?s General Store and an antique
alley hosted by Riverbank Antiques. Vendor space is available. For more information, call (419) 287-3274

participate in all four shows or the date of their choice.
A variety of food and beverages will be offered curbside this year. The Forks will offer a chicken
barbecue Thursday. The Pemberville Historical Society will offer hot beef sandwiches and strawberry
shortcake. Other selections will include hand-dipped ice cream, french waffles and Poppin George?s
kettle corn.
PIMA members will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets. All proceeds will benefit PIMA.
New to this year?s show will be several special awards, including a best pre-1950 entry. The vehicles
will be judged in several categories, with the winning entries being announced at 8 p.m. Winners will
receive $25 PIMA gift certificates. Entrants will need to be present to claim prizes.
