Hammett named to state board for the Great Lakes

Ohio Governor Ted Strickland announced appointments to several state boards and commissions on Friday.

Edwin Hammett, of Pemberville, was appointed to the The Great Lakes Protection Fund Board.
Hammett has served as the executive director for the Ohio Lake Erie Commission since 2004. He previously
served as a district chief for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency from 1988-2004.
The appointee is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He received a bachelor’s
degree and a master’s degree from Ohio State University in 1970 and 1972, respectively.
