A celebration of life service for Michael L. Watkins will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Dunn Funeral Home.
Rev. Rich Watkins will officiate. Burial will be in Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday.
Mr. Watkins, 63, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday (May 27, 2009) at his home.
He taught government class at Bowling Green High School for 29 years.
Mr. Watkins also revived the Bowling Green tennis program in 1980 and the team won the Northern Lakes
League championship in 1981.
He was deeply interested in politics and was an avid supporter of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Browns and
Indians.
The 1967 graduate of Bowling Green State University later received his master’s degree from Miami
University.
He was born Sept. 17, 1945 in Fostoria to Roma and Betty (Tidd) Watkins.
Surviving are his mother, of Bowling Green; two brothers, Larry and Rev. Rich, both of Indianapolis; and
a sister, Sue Watkins, of Findlay.
