All aboard the Polar Express Families are invited to the Wood County District Public Library's Children's Place to watch "The Polar Express." The film, featuring Tom Hanks, will be shown on Saturday at 1 p.m. Board the magical train, be whisked away to the North Pole and enjoy the story about the wonder of the holiday season. Explore Children's Wonderland at Sylvania's Tam-O-Shanter SYLVANIA - Children's Wonderland is open daily through Dec. 28 at the Sports & Exhibition Center at Tam-O-Shanter, 7060 Sylvania Ave. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children and $2 for seniors. Children ages 2 and under are admitted free. The exhibit is closed Christmas Day and open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve. For an additional fee, there is an interactive kids zone, train rides, ornament decorating, elf workshop and putt putt. Writing letters to Santa and coloring will also be offered.
