Shatki's dancers on stage
Families are invited to join Laura Shakti's World Dance Studio class for drumming, story time and a recital in the atrium at 3:30 p.m. at the Wood County District Public Library on Saturday.

Art adventures at Way this fall
PERRYSBURG - An Autumn Art Adventure  is planned for Saturday, Oct. 19 and 26 at the Way Public Library. Classes are also planned for Nov. 2, 9 and 16.
There will be bouncing bats, spider art, mask making and fall fresco painting.
Classes are from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Youth Activity Room. They are geared for first through fifth-graders. The cost is $5 per child per class.
Register in advance at the Youth Services Desk.

Legopalooza at the library
Families are invited to drop in for the monthly Legopalooza program at the Children's Place of the Wood County District Public Library Sunday anytime between 2 and 3 p.m.  
The library staff will share their Lego collection along with books for creative ideas and stories.

Tricks and treats at the mall
The Woodland Mall will hold its annual trick or treat Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Julie's Dance Studio will offer a Spooktacular Evening of Dance from 5:45 to 7:55 p.m. with a "Thriller" performance at 7:55 p.m.

Jergens juggles at Way Library
PERRYSBURG - A Fall Family Fun Night featuring comedy juggler Matt Jergens is planned for Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Way Public Library.
The event is free and there will be refreshments.

'Pizza & Pages' club to meet
"Pizza and Pages," the Bowling Green Middle School book club, will meet on Oct. 22 at 2:30 p.m. in the school's Media Center.
"Pizza and Pages" is open to all area sixth-eighth graders.
The Children's Place of the Wood County has multiple copies of the six pre-selected books to pick from. Titles include: "The Graveyard Book" by Neil Gaiman, "Splendors and Glooms" by Laura Amy Schlitz, "Doll Bones" by Holly Black, "Revenge of the Witch" by Joseph Delaney "Guys Read Thriller" ed. by Jon Scieszka and "Jinx" by Sage Blackwood.

Dress up, drink cider, dunk doughnuts at Walbridge event
WALBRIDGE - Cider and doughnuts and a costume contest are planned for Oct. 31 at Lake Township Fire Station 1, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Trick or treating in the village is that night from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Cider and doughnuts will be served from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be candy safety check stations at the fire station.
The contest starts at 8 p.m., with these categories: prettiest, funniest, ugliest, cartoon, youngest and oldest.
The event is sponsored by the Walbridge Centennial Committee and the Walbridge-Lake Fire Belles.

Pumpkin Path and Little Boo are wild and wonderful at zoo
TOLEDO - The Toledo Zoo's Halloween happenings, Pumpkin Path and Little Boo at the Zoo, are planned for this month.
New this year at the zoo is the Jack-o-Lantern Express, a train ride that snakes past giraffes, wildebeest, zebra and other African animals as you listen to playful Halloween tales.
Pumpkin Path on Oct. 19-20 features trick-or-treat stations throughout the zoo, plus ghoulish games, spook-tacular magic shows and Halloween hijinks. Details are at toledozoo.org/pumpkin.
Little Boo at the Zoo on Oct. 17-18 offers the fun of Pumpkin Path on a smaller scale that's perfect for preschool poltergeists. There will be trick-or-treating, games and more, in a way that's sure to delight - without the fright. Details are at toledozoo.org/boo.
In October, the zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Craft a trick-or-treat bag     
PERRYSBURG - Get ready for trick-or-treat and something sweet at the Way Public Library. Craft a bag for treats on Oct. 24 from 4 to 5 p.m.
The activity is geared toward kids ages 7 to 10. There will also be Halloween-themed games and snacks.
Online registration begins today.
