Kohl’s cares for McComb kid’s project, Dodge Ball for Ducks
Noah Weaver, 12, from McComb was chosen from more than 37,000 Kohl’s Care nominees nationwide for making
a positive impact in his community.
The scholarship program honored 200 volunteers, including Noah, with $1,000 scholarships.
After learning about the works being done by Heifer International, a charity organization working to end
hunger and poverty around the world by providing livestock and training to struggling communities, Noah
created Dodge Ball for Ducks!, a fundraising event to raise support, money and awareness for the
organization.
To date, Noah’s efforts have provided communities in need with ducks, sheep and chickens, and other
animals
Winners are chosen based on initiative, leadership, generosity and project benefits and outcome. Each
regional-level winner qualifies for one of Kohl’s 10 national scholarships, which will be announced at
the end of July.
