Volunteens needed for "Fizz, Boom, Read" at the library
Youth, ages 11 years and older, interested in volunteering in the Children’s Place of the Wood County
District Public Library this summer are asked to attend a training session.
Sessions will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. or on May 15 at 4:30 p.m.
Volunteens will assist Children’s Place staff with a variety of duties, projects and programs at the
Summer Reading Program, "Fizz, Boom, READ!", during June, July and August. Schedules are
flexible.
The Children’s Place is asking all Volunteens, even those with previous experience to attend one training
session.
Volunteen forms are available at the Children’s Place desk.

March over to this program on ants at Pemberville park
PEMBERVILLE – A Wood County Park District "PiPs: Ants" program will be held Saturday from 10:30
to 11:15 a.m. at William Henry Harrison Park, 644 Bierley Ave. This is for children 3-6 years of age.

Participants will enjoy a short story and a craft. Adult companions must remain with children for this
program.

Make a car, watch a movie at Perrysburg library
PERRYSBURG – A drive-in movie for toddlers and caregivers will be held Wednesday at the Way Public
Library.
Create a car, have a snack, then watch a showing of Eric Carle’s "The Very Quiet Cricket"
movie.
