Read, then see ‘Mary Poppins’
The Children’s Place of the Wood County District Public Library is hosting a book discussion on
"Mary Poppins," which will be staged by Bowling Green High School students later this month.

Novel Chit Chats will discuss the 1934 novel by author P.L. Travers on April 7 at 7 p.m. The adult and
youth discussion group will be joined by members of the high school musical’s cast and crew.
Multiple copies of the novel and its audio recording are available at the Children’s Place desk.

Attention, peeps: Enter diorama contest at Way
PERRYSBURG – The 4th annual Way Library Peeps Diorama Contest is coming up at the Way Public Library.
Build a diorama using Peeps (the popular Easter treat) of any shape and color in a standard size shoe box
or other comparably-sized item.
The theme could be recreating a favorite scene from a book or movie, or re-enacting current or historical
events. All characters in the scene must be played by Peeps.
Contestants must be between ages 11-15 years old. There is a limit of one entry per contestant.
Entries must be submitted to the library between Monday and April 6. They will be displayed for voting
April 7-20.
Entries must be picked up by April 27. All entries not picked up by the deadline will be discarded.
Target gift cards will be awarded April 21 to first, second and third place contestants.

Read favorite poems at Way
PERRYSBURG – To celebrate National Poetry Month in April, Way Public Library will have a poetry cafe on
Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m.
Children ages 7-10 are invited to reading favorite poems "open mic style."
There will be poetry books available to read from, or bring an original or favorite from home.
Refreshments will be provided.

Kids can camp at BGSU
A Spring Break Kids Camp will be held at Bowling Green State University next week.
Camp programming includes a variety of recreation-based one day, evening and week-long camps designed for
children in kindergarten through sixth grade (ages 5 – 12) emphasizing physical development and
education while promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The activities are conducted primarily at the Perry Field House and the Cooper Pool. Walking field trips,
special guests and sport instruction are also offered.
The camp will be held Monday through April 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The community member cost is $130.
