Butterfly exhibit opens at zoo
TOLEDO – Summer arrives early at the Toledo Zoo on Jan. 17 when a new butterfly exhibit takes flight
inside the Museum of Science. It continues through March 2.
It all happens in a walk-through experience at the museum’s Great Hall, transformed into a sunny getaway.
Butterflies from all across the Americas glide around visitors – including many species that visitors
would never have a chance to see otherwise. From the striking zebra longwing to the bright orange gulf
fritillary and multicolored white peacock butterfly, it’s an interactive encounter that inspires
visitors about the intrigue of the natural world. Details are at toledozoo.org/butterfly.
This exhibit is free with admission to the zoo; online coupons save visitors half off admission costs.
The exhibit is part of the zoo’s year-long celebration of flight; visit toledozoo.org/flight for details
on upcoming events.
