Wayne library has summer program

WAYNE – All ages are invited to participate in this year’s summer reading program, "Fizz, Boom
Read!" at Wayne Public Library. The program will be held through the last week in July.
Ages 3 and under can be entered into the Read-to-a-Child Contest. Prizes include books and plush animals.
Registration is not required.
Kids age 4 through fifth grade can check out, read, and choose prizes in our SRP Prize Store. The Toledo
Zoo will be presenting a program, Cool Coverings, on July 14 for kids age 4-kindergarten. Two programs
will be presented for kids in first through fifth grades. Wood County Park District will present Animal
Food Chains on June 30, and meteorologist Kimberly Newman from WTOL-TV will present Wild Weather on July
7. Registration is required for all age 4 through fifth grade programs.
Adults and young adults are invited to check out, read and review books for a chance to win gift cards
and a Kindle Fire HD that was donated by the Teen Friends of Wayne Public Library. Registration is not
required.
Science fair projects by Elmwood students will be on display throughout the library through July 26.
