No April Fool's joke here: The Toledo Zoo offers wild reasons to be your family's springtime destination.  
On Saturday: Animal Tricksters, 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. for ages 4-8 with adult. Even animals like to pull pranks, but their tricks are sometimes a matter of life or death.
Separate fee; Zoo member discount applies. Advance registration required.
Saturday and Sunday: Zoo Snooze: Playful Primates. Families with children as young as age 6 report to the Zoo after hours and camp overnight for a fast-paced evening of animal interaction, exclusive tours, keeper talks and more. April's Snooze takes you to Primate  Forest and Kingdom of the Apes, for a night of monkey madness. Separate fee. Advance registration required (Zoo Snoozes fill fast).
Starts Tuesday: Animal Tales: Animal Giants, times vary for children ages 3-4 with adult. The Zoo is home to some big animals. Learn about the tallest, largest, longest and strongest. Separate fee; Zoo member discount applies. Advance registration required; choose from classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
April 20: Party for the Planet Earth Day Celebration, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Toledo Zoo is dedicated to conservation, so it's no surprise that Earth Day at the Zoo really is a Party  for the Planet. Don't miss all the crafts, activities and fun as we learn how to be better stewards of the environment. Free with regular Zoo admission.
April 27: Louie's 10th Birthday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. When Louie the elephant has a birthday, it's a big deal; join him for a mammoth party featuring some of his favorite gifts and goodies. Free with regular Zoo admission.
The Toledo Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (starting May 4, weekend hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
