PERRYSBURG - Children's music and art classes are being offered at the 577 Foundation at 577 E. Front St. Pre-registration is required for all classes at www.577foundation.org or (419) 874-4174.
• Partners in Fun is an art class for 3 to 4 year olds with adult. The leader is Carol Jambard-Sweet and the limit is 14 per class. Classes are Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. The fee is $5 per child.
Make some fall decorations on Tuesday. Oct. 15 is pumpkin day. Make a haunted house on Oct. 22. Owls is the theme of the Oct. 29 class.
• Beginner Recorder Lessons are for students in grades one through six.
This class provides a child with a recorder (blue, green or pink), practice/music theory book and lessons to teach the basics. The last class will be a mini-concert to showcase their talent.
The leader is Tabitha Wheeler. Call 567-322-7036 to order color. Class limit is 10.
Classes are Saturday and Oct. 5, 12 and 19 from 11 a.m. to noon. The concert is Oct. 27 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The fee is $30.
• Youth Pottery is for students in grades three through five.
Child can experience the fun of working in clay. They will learn the basics of hand building and explore the potter's wheel.
Also, learn about glazing while finishing their pieces with high and low fire glazes.
The leaders are Julie Beutler and Nadia Packard. Class limit is 12.
Classes are Oct. 30, Nov. 6, 13 and 20, and Dec. 4 and 11 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The fee is $75.
• Another Youth Pottery class is for students in grades six through 12.
Students will focus on developing their creative side in many hand-built and wheel projects.
The course will feature extruded work, slab work and development of potter's wheel skills. They will glaze their work an get an understanding of how it is fired.
The leaders are Julie Beutler and Nadia Packard. Class limit is 10.
Classes are Oct. 30, Nov. 6, 13 and 20, and Dec. 4 and 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. The fee is $80.
