Go on an art adventure, fire up some pottery in 577 Foundation classes

PERRYSBURG – Children’s music and art classes are being offered at the 577 Foundation at 577 E. Front St.

Pre-registration is required for all classes at www.577foundation.org or (419) 874-4174.
• Partners in Fun is an art class for 3 to 4-year-olds with adult.
The leader is Carol Jambard-Sweet and the limit is 14 per class.
Classes are Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. The fee is $5 per child.
Talk about dinosaurs on Tuesday. On May 20, make some butterflies. Pirates are on the May 27 agenda.
• Art Adventures is a parent-child class for 2 to 5 year olds. The leader is Carrie Chalfin. The fee is
$10 per child.
On Friday, explore animals through music, literature and art. Another program will be held May 16.
Classes are from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
• Family Pottery, on Wednesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m., is for preschoolers and kindergartners, with an
adult.
Make pottery together or individually. Work with pinch, slab or extruded clay, and decorate with colored
slips. The foundation will finish pieces with a clear glaze.
The leader is Connie Vasbinder. Class limit is 10. The fee is $15 per youth and adult.
• A Conversation of the Maumee River will be held May 28 from 10 to 11 a.m.
Learn about critters that live in the river, why they are needed and how they can be maintained for
future generations. Activities will discuss non-point source pollution and aquatic macroinvertebrates.
Leaders are Judy Hagen and Christina Kuchle. Class limit is 20. The program is free.
