TOLEDO - "Around the World in a Day" will be presented May 11 at the Toledo Zoo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The zoo is home to animals representing species from across the globe, and this event celebrates the cultures that make the world exciting. Journey "from snow to sand" and all points in between - all in one day.
Also next month, moms receive free admission when they come to the zoo with their children on Mother's Day, which is May 12.
Plus there's a Mother's Day Brunch (separate fee) from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; call (419) 385.5721 for prices and to make a reservation.
The zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (starting May 4, weekend hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). The zoo is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail, four miles south of downtown.
