Friday Night Fun is offered the fourth Friday of every month (excluding July) from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Maumee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 20189 N. Dixie Hwy. The program is through Bittersweet Farms and is for adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Outdoor activities, meal prep, family-style meals, crafts, games, movies and clean-up make up the majority of the evening.  Reservations are required to attend. The cost of each session is $25.
Because of a grant from the Marathon Classic, scholarships are available. Contact Heidi LeGrand (419-875-6986, ext. 1242) to find out more information.
Friday Night Fun utilizes Bittersweet’s recreational philosophy, which is to allow a safe place for individuals with autism to go and socialize with peers, while also allowing their caregivers some extra free time.
