The Bowling Green Eagles Club donated $3,000 plus two large boxes of toys to the Toys for Tots program after a day and night of fundraising activities last Friday. The club hopes to make this an annual event in memory of Mike Sponsler, according to Sandy Snow, who organized the event with her husband, Toby. She said Sponsler, a member who died five years ago in a motorcycle accident, always wanted to hold a fundraiser for Toys for Tots.
