Tax refunds go unclaimed
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown has announced that nearly 2,500 Ohioans have unclaimed tax refunds owed to them by the IRS. That includes 21 from Wood County.
Taxpayers who have not received tax refunds can visit the "Where's My Refund?" page at www.irs.gov or call to 1-800-829-1040 to check on their status. Brown's Web site, http://brown.senate.gov/, includes a link to the page and instructions on how Ohioans can claim tax refunds.
