The following events will take place the week of Sept. 1-7 at the Wood County Senior Center, 305 N. Main St., Bowling Green.

MONDAY
Labor Day - All sites closed

TUESDAY   
9 a.m. Breakfast Club: American Table, 580 Craig Dr., Perrysburg. Host: George Hubbell, registration required
9-11 a.m. Class: Piano Lessons with Teresa Batterson; $10 for 30 minutes, registration required

Noon-Lunch: Stuffed Pepper or Almond Fish   
1 p.m. Class: Zumba with Taylor Newlove; $20 for 8 weeks, registration required

SATURDAY, SEPT. 7
10 a.m. Class: Light Weight Training - Instructor Janel Sweitzer; $20 for 8 weeks, registration required
11:15 a.m. Class: Delay the Disease; $30 for 12 weeks, registration required

No person over 60 shall be denied nutrition services because of failure to contribute all or part of the cost.  Participants shall determine for themselves what they are able to contribute.  A $2 suggested donation is appreciated for lunches and $4 for dinners.  Dinner reservations are needed by 2 p.m. of that day. I-Pad and Kindle Class: Wood County Senior Center, 305 N. Main St., Bowling Green. In Partnership with Bowling Green State University School of Media and Communication, we are happy to offer free Tablet Classes starting in September. Whether you have a device or one is on your wish list, this hands on training can help you learn more. Tablets are growing in popularity and surprisingly fun and easy to use. Sessions run for 5 weeks and space is limited. Zumba Classes: Tuesdays, Sept. 3 to Oct. 22 from 1 to 2 p.m. and Fridays, Sept. 6 to Nov. 1 (No class Friday, Oct, 11) from 10-11 a.m. at the county senior center, 305 N. Main, Bowling Green. Cost: $20 for 8 weeks with Certified instructor Taylor Newlove. These eight-week sessions combine short dance and aerobic moves to upbeat music. Advance registration required. New Adventures Group: for those who find themselves alone again. Wood County Historical Museum Smithsonian exhibit, Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m. meet at the historical museum, 13660 County Home Road, for a guided tour by Curator Holly Hartlerode of the new "Journey Stories". This exhibit shows how evolving mobility changed a young nation and how transportation made us grow. Cost: $5 per person.
