The following events will take place the week of Aug. 25-31 at the Wood County Senior Center, 305 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
9 a.m. Class: Get Fit by Video
10:30 a.m. Intergenerational Fun Day: All About the Kids Theme: Origami
11:15 a.m. Class: Delay the Disease: an evidence based fitness program designed to empower people with Parkinson's Disease, Cost: $30 for 12 weeks, registration required
11 a.m. Program: "Senior Scams" learn about the latest scams targeting older Ohioans and how to prevent yourself and loved ones from scams. Presented by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine's office
Noon-Lunch: Baked Chicken or Smoked Sausage      
1 p.m. Wii Bowling
1-4 p.m. Contract Bridge and Euchre

9-11 a.m. Class: Piano Lessons, certified instructor: Teresa Batterson, Cost: $10 for 30 minutes, registration required        
10 a.m. Class: Club F.I.T. Sponsored by Bowling Green Manor, registration required
Noon Lunch: Hamloaf or Lemon Pepper Tilapia  
1 p.m. Movie: The Big Wedding, registration required
1-3 p.m. Program: Pickleball, Rossford Community Rec Center, 400 Dixie Highway; fee, registration required
4:30 p.m. Readers Café: Featured book: "The Host" by Stephanie Meyer, registration required

10:30 a.m. Class: Memory Action Program; $10 deposit for manual; advance registration required

I-Pad and Kindle Class: County senior center, Bowling Green. In partnership with Bowling Green State University School of Media and Communication, free Tablet Classes start in September. Whether you have a device or one is on your wish list, this hands on training can help you learn more. Tablets are growing in popularity and are surprisingly fun and easy to use.

Zumba Classes: Tuesdays, Sept. 3 to Oct. 22 from 1 to 2 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 6 to Nov. 1 (No class Friday, Oct. 11) from 10-11 a.m. at the county senior center. Cost: $20 for 8 weeks with certified instructor Taylor Newlove. Eight-week sessions combine short dance and aerobic moves to upbeat music.
