WATERVILLE - Heartland of Waterville, 8885 Browning Drive, is planning a joint pet event and craft show on Aug. 10.
The Dog Days of Summer event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Members of the public are invited to bring their dogs to participate in a pet costume contest, obstacle course and dog parade to celebrate summer. All shot records for each dog must be provided on that day.
Heartland's Summer Craft Show will run from 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Both vendors and guests are welcome. Booth rental fees will be by donation, with all proceeds going to the Northwest Ohio Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's. Vendor booth set-up begins at 10 a.m.

Guiding Pathways: Friday, Aug. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First Christian Church, 875 Haskins Rd., Bowling Green. This monthly gathering is for those with mild to moderate cognitive impairment. A collaboration of Bowling Green Manor, Wood Lane, First Christian Church and WCCOA. Participants experience interaction in a relaxing and engaging environment. Participation will aim to foster fellowship, promote relaxation, social interaction and cognitive stimulation. The program fee is $10 per person. The day will include: small group activities, laughter therapy, chair exercises, games, lunch and snacks and nature fitness. Road Safety Education: Program, open to all, slated Aug. 23 from 12 to 4 p.m. at the City of Bowling Green Facilities Building, 815 E. Poe Road, Bowling Green. Lunch available from 12 to 1 p.m. Seminars consisting of updates on traffic laws and tips for safe driving, plus Carfit educational program that offers older adults the opportunity to check how well their personal vehicles fit them; transportation, refreshments, raffle prizes.
