The following events will take place the week of July 28 - Aug. 3 at the Wood County Senior Center, 305 N. Main St., Bowling Green.

9 a.m. Class: Get Fit by Video
11:15 a.m. Class: Delay the Disease: fitness program for those with Parkinson's Disease; $30 for 12 weeks, registration required
Noon Lunch: Sweet & Sour Chicken or Pork Cutlet   
1 p.m. Wii Bowling
1-4 p.m. Contract Bridge and Euchre

9-11 a.m. Class: Piano Lessons with Teresa Batterson; $10 for 30 minutes, registration required    
10 a.m.  Class: Club F.I.T. sponsored by Sterling House, registration required
Noon Lunch: Oven Fried Chicken or Vegetable Lasagna   
1-3 p.m. Pickleball: Rossford Community Rec Center, 400 Dixie Highway, Rossford; fee and registration required      
2:30 p.m. Scrabble: Host Willard Misfeldt
4:30 p.m. Readers Café: Featured book: "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel, registration required
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Beef Stroganoff, carrots
6 p.m. Dominoes

10:30 a.m. Wii Bowling
Noon Lunch: Turkey or Liver & Onions       
12-1:30 p.m. NAMI Connections Recovery Support Group: for those with a mental illness, 541 W. Wooster St., 2nd floor, Bowling Green
12-3 p.m. Computer Help Desk: By appointment
1-4 p.m. Class: Mah Jongg, host: Barbara Applebaum
1 p.m. Cribbage Interest Group
2 p.m. Grocery Shopping at Meijer, registration required
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Pork Chops, baked sweet potatoes
6 p.m. Class: Zumba with Taylor Newlove; $20 for 8 weeks, registration required

No person over 60 shall be denied nutrition services because of failure to contribute all or part of the cost.  Participants determine for themsselves what they are able to contribute.  A $2 suggested donation is appreciated for lunches and $4 for dinners. Trip to Farmers Market: For those who receive farmers market coupons through the Area Office on Aging of NWO. This trip will enable you to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables during the summer months. Transportation will be available in the Bowling Green area beginning on Thursdays, Aug. 8 and 22. Healthy Steps: Wednesdays, Sept. 4 to Oct. 9 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the county senior center. Cost: $15 for 6 weeks taught by certified instructor Jim Berger, Heartland Rehabilitation Services. This evidence based fitness program is part movement, part dance exercise to music you love. It improves range of motion, balance and flexibility. Program was developed for cancer patients but is beneficial for all participants. Advance registration required.
