The following events will take place the week of June 2-8 at the Wood County Senior Center, 305 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
MONDAY
9 a.m. Class: Get Fit by Video
11:15 a.m. Class: Delay the Disease: Fitness program for people with Parkinson's Disease; cost: $30 for 12 weeks, registration required
Noon-Lunch: Stuffed Pepper or Turkey Casserole
1 p.m. Wii Bowling
1-4 p.m. Contract Bridge and Euchre

TUESDAY   
9 a.m. Breakfast Club: Cracker Barrel, 1395 Ford St., Maumee. host: George Hubbell; pre-register
9-11 a.m. Piano Lessons: $10 for 30 minutes, registration required
10 a.m. Class: Club F.I.T., sponsored by Wood Haven Health Care, registration required
11 a.m. Program: Dig into Reading: A partnership with the county library with community children to make reading come alive. Registration required  
Noon-Lunch: Chicken Paprikash or Meatloaf              
1-3 p.m. Pickleball: Rossford Community Rec Center, 400 Dixie Highway; fee, registration required      
2:30 p.m. Scrabble withWillard Misfeldt
4:30 p.m. Readers Café: Featured book: "Safe Haven" by Sparks, registration required
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Salisbury Steak, mashed potatoes, registration required by 2 p.m.
6 p.m. Dominoes
6 p.m. Class: Yoga with Dana Mickens; $20 for 8 weeks, registration required

WEDNESDAY
10:30 a.m. Wii Bowling
10:30 a.m.  Healthy Steps Class: $15 for 6 weeks, registration required
Noon Lunch: Hot Dog or Hamburger    
12-1:30 p.m. NAMI Connections Recovery Support Group: for those with a mental illness, 541 W. Wooster, 2nd floor
12-3 p.m. Computer Help Desk: By appointment
1-4 p.m. Class: Mah Jongg with B. Applebaum
1 p.m. Cribbage Interest Group
2 p.m. Grocery Shopping at Meijer, pre-register
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Chicken Florentine, rice
6 p.m. Class: Zumba, certified instructorTaylor Newlove; $20 for 8 weeks, registration required

THURSDAY
10 a.m. Class: Writer's Group, everyone welcome
10 a.m. Class: Light Weight Training; $20 for 8 weeks, registration required

FRIDAY, JUNE 7
9 a.m. Class: Get Fit by Video
9-11 a.m. Class: Piano Lessons        
9-11:30 a.m. Class: Healthy U: Diabetes Self-Management: a free workshop for six weeks for those who have type 2 diabetes or are their caregiver. Pre-registration required
10 a.m. Watercolor Art Class: Free and open to the public, bring own supplies
10 a.m. Cards: Hand and Foot
10 a.m. Class: Zumba, certified instructor: Taylor Newlove; $20 for 8 weeks, pre-register
11:30 a.m. Program: "PASSPORT: What is it," Lisa Myers, social worker, will explain how program provides in-home care and resources for income-eligible older adults
Noon Lunch: Chef Salad with Turkey or Tuna Salad on Lettuce            
1 p.m. Wii Bowling  
1 p.m. Class: Tai Chi, registration required

ADVANCE PLANNING
Zumba Class: Wednesdays, June 5 to July 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. or Fridays, June 7 to July 26 from 10 to 11 a.m.; 8-week sessions cost $20 and combine short dance and aerobic moves to upbeat music. Dance sneakers are preferred. Registration required; minimum of 6 participants for class.
