The following events will take place the week of April 22-27 at the Wood County Senior Center, 305 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
9 a.m. Class: Get Fit by Video
10:30 a.m.-1p.m. Miracle Ear Free hearing screening; no appointment required
10:30 a.m. Intergenerational Fun Day: All About the Kids theme: Space and the Solar System
Noon-Lunch: Italian Sausage Lasagna or Lemon Pepper Pollock       
1 p.m. Wii Bowling
1 p.m. Trip: Rave Classic Cinema Movie: Honeymoon in Bali; $5, advanced registration
1-4 p.m. Contract Bridge and Euchre

9:30 a.m. Class: Facebook, Host: BGSU student Daniel English, advanced registration required
10 a.m. Class: Club F.I.T., registration required
11:15 a.m. Program: Inappropriate Medications for Older Adults: Jan Schneider, R.N., WCCOA

1-3 p.m. Program: Pickleball, Rossford Community Rec Center, 400 Dixie Highway, Rossford; fee, registration
1-4 p.m. New Adventures Group: Rock Climbing Excursion. Meet at Elder-Beerman at 12:40 p.m. or park at the BGSU Recreation Center for $5; cost: $8, advance registration required  
1:30 p.m. Class: Yoga with Danielle Trauth-Jurman; $20 for 8 weeks, registration required
4 p.m. Class: Yoga with Cathy Blatchly; $20 for 8 weeks, sponsored by Sterling House, registration required
4:30 p.m. Readers Café: Featured book: "The Vow", registration required
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Turkey Roll-up, mashed potatoes

10:30 a.m. Class: Healthy Steps - instructor Jim Berger, Heartland Rehabilitation Services; $20 for 8 weeks, registration required

12-1:30 p.m. NAMI Connections Recovery Support Group: weekly group for individuals with a mental illness, 541 W. Wooster, 2nd floor
12-3 p.m. Computer Help Desk: By appointment
1-4 p.m. Class: Mah Jongg
1 p.m. Cribbage Interest Group
1 p.m. Class: I can Cope: a series of educational classes for people facing cancer. Topic: Learning about cancer and understanding treatments
2 p.m. Grocery Shopping at Meijer, pre-register
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Chef Salad with Ham and Turkey, cauliflower salad

10 a.m. Class: Writer's Group, everyone welcome
10 a.m. Class: Light Weight Training, certified instructor Janelle Sweitzer. Cost: $20 for 8 weeks, registration required

11a.m.-5 p.m. Art Walk: stop in to view or purchase our artists creations.

Healthy U: Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP):  Fridays, May 3 to June 7 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. county senior center. DSMP may be for you if you live with Type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes or are a caregiver for someone affected. Gain confidence and new skills to better manage your diabetes and feel healthier. The DSMP workshop is led by certified leaders trained from trainers at Stanford University. 90 Plus Spectacular: May 20 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church,  Bowling Green. This dinner party will consist of a slide show, entertainment and recognition of individuals 90 years and older. Reservations required by May 6. Dinner is free for those 90 and over.

New Adventures Group: for those who find themselves alone again. Tour the Wind Turbines. Meet at the Wood County Landfill, 15320 Tontogany Road. Bring your camera to take pictures of the turbines. Note: A fair bit of walking is involved, with some uneven terrain. Following the tour join us at the Stones Throw restaurant, 176 E. Wooster, BG, for dinner. Cost of dinner on own.
