Participants shall determine for themselves what they are able to contribute. A $2 suggested donation is appreciated for lunches and $4 for dinners. For menu information, call (419) 353-5661 or (800) 367-4935 ADVANCE PLANNING Guiding Pathways: Friday, Feb. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This monthly gathering is for those with mild to moderate cognitive impairment. A collaboration of Bowling Green Manor, Wood Lane, First Christian Church and the Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc., these gatherings will have participants experience interaction in a relaxing and engaging environment. Participation will aim to foster fellowship, promote relaxation, social interaction and cognitive stimulation. The program fee is $10 per person. The day will include: Small Group activities, laughter therapy, chair exercises, games, lunch and snacks and nature fitness. Caregivers are welcome to attend with their loved ones. This series will focus on providing educational, social, physical and opportunities for those who remain in their homes in Wood County. No medical staff will be present and personal care will not be available. The contest is followed by a reception developed to honor the entries and include their family members. The poems will be placed on our blog for the world to view. Grand prize is a $50 gift card and second place a $25 gift card Sponsored by Otterbein Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Participation is open to Wood County residents age 50 and over. The opening date for submissions is was Jan. 8 and closing date is March 1.
