9:30 a.m. Program: Great Decisions – discussion program on world issues. Topic: China’s Foreign Policy
presented by Dr. Wally and Diane Pretzer. China has gone to great lengths to emphasize the
"peaceful" nature of its meteoric rise. Yet few dispute that China is the dominant regional
power in Asia, and in recent years Beijing began to flex its muscles regionally. What does the rapid
rise of this new superpower mean for other countries in the region, and are there potential points of
conflict with the U.S.? Sponsored by AAUW, BG Women’s Club and WCCOA.
Those 60-plus decide what they are able to contribute for meals. A $2 suggested donation is appreciated
for lunches and $4 for dinners. Dinner reservations are needed by 2 p.m. of that day. For menus, call
419-353-5661 or 1-800-367-4935.
