Kingston to host free Medicare information session
PERRYSBURG — The public is invited to learn more about Medicare, how it works and how it affects you at an information session slated for next Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kingston Rehabilitation of Perrysburg at 345 East Boundary St.
The free, 60-minute program will be led by Kristi Stockslager, certified Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information (OSHIIP) counselor, and will include information on how to sign up for Medicare and what to expect once you do. The session is educational only. No specific insurance products or prices will be discussed.
The 2 p.m. program will be held in the community café of the rehabilitation facility. For more information call 419-873-6100.
Next Senior Gathering Nov. 21
WAYNE — Senior Gathering will be held at noon Thursday at Mt. Zion United Brethren Church at the corner of Bays and Reynolds Roads.
The Elmwood Troubadours will provide guest entertainment. All seniors and their friends are welcome to this free lunch.
Eastwood senior Christmas luncheon Dec. 3
PEMBERVILLE — The Senior Citizen Christmas Luncheon for residents of the Eastwood School District will be held on Dec. 3 at the Riverview Banquet Centre (Pemberville American Legion) at 405 E. Front St.
Doors will open at 11 a.m. with lunch being served at 11:30. The snow date will be the next day, Dec. 4.
The a capella group Encore, featuring members of the Eastwood High School choir, will offer entertainment. The menu is grilled chicken, potatoes O’Brien, string beans, roll, butter and dessert.

Holiday craft show Dec. 7
WATERVILLE — Heartland of Waterville will hold its Holiday Craft Show on Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 8885 Browning Drive. The sale is open to the public, with many different crafts available for purchase.
Vendors are still welcome. Booth rental fees will be by donation, with all proceeds going to the Northwest Ohio Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Perrysburg Commons hosts breakfast to honor vets
PERRYSBURG — On Monday, Perrysburg Commons Retirement Center hosted a breakfast to honor those who served our country. More than 50 veterans and their families attended the event from the Perrysburg community.
“We wanted to make sure the veterans got the honor and recognition they deserve for keeping our country free and safe,” said Kelly Ebersbach, Commons executive director. The culinary department served eggs, bacon and French toast.
The Schaller American Legion from Perrysburg conducted a flag ceremony after the breakfast, and presented Perrysburg Commons with an American flag.
