Senior meal next Thursday
WAYNE - The monthly Senior Gathering meal will be served Thursday at noon at Mt. Zion United Brethren Church at the corner of Bays and Reynolds roads.
All area seniors and friends are welcome to the free meal. The entertainment will be Cleve Patton and company.

Add card-playing to senior meal at Hosanna
GRAND RAPIDS - Hosanna Lutheran Church, located at 23019 Kellogg Road, has been providing senior meals in conjunction with the Wood County Committee on Aging for many years.  Beginning next Friday, Sept. 27, the church will be open at 10 a.m. for seniors to enjoy some games of cards before the 11:30 meal.  Euchre, Horse & Pepper and pinochle are some card choices.  
Those who wish to stay and enjoy a meal of tuna salad or a chef salad next Friday should call 419-266-7619 to make a reservation.  The activities are free and open to the area senior public.

Dinner-dance Saturday at Maumee Senior Center
MAUMEE - The area public is invited to the Steppin' Into Fall Dinner-Dance at the Maumee Senior Center, 2430 S. Detroit Ave., this Saturday.  
The evening begins with a homemade Italian dinner of lasagna, breadsticks, salad, an Italian dessert and drinks. It will be served at 5 p.m.
Dancing to Big Band sounds of the Swingsters from Oregon begins at 6. The 25-plus-member-band will play all music types from big band to country. The band features vocalists, flutes, saxophone, tuba and more.
There will be raffles for themed prize baskets. Baskets, each valued at more than $100, range from a barbecue theme to tailgate party. Raffle tickets are only available at the event.
Steppin' Into Fall tickets are $15 per person or $17 at the door. The event is open to all ages and no MSC membership is required to attend.
