Perrysburg Commons resident gets a special dinner

PERRYSBURG – On Wednesday, Perrysburg Commons Retirement Center gave resident Jeanne Tyler a wish
fulfilled by the center’s "Heart’s Desire" program.
Heart’s Desire has been fulfilling wishes of residents at Perrysburg Commons and other HCR Manorcare
facilities nationwide with support from the staff and surrounding community. Thousands of Heart’s
Desires have been granted since the program’s inception in 1997.
Tyler’s wish was a chance to return to her all-time favorite restaurant, the Charcoal House on Talmadge
Road in Toledo, for a good steak dinner.
However, the restaurant has been closed for several years. Next, Tyler requested Texas Roadhouse since
she hadn’t eaten there in three or four years and had a craving for their steak dinner.
The Commons, along with her daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Jim Coberley, planned a night out on
Tuesday. She enjoyed steak, steak fries, Caesar salad, rolls, and a virgin pina colada.
"It was such a wonderful night out, being able to have a great meal and doing it with my
family," Tyler said.
Tyler made Perrysburg Commons her home in April 2012.
