Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices has been reaccredited by the National EAGLE Accreditation Commission.

Only 38 health and welfare institutions nationwide have achieved Educational Assessment Guidelines
Leading toward Excellence (EAGLE) status in recognition of their efforts.
The designation is designed for faith based, health and wholeness organizations to enhance the quality of
services provided. It utilizes voluntary self-assessment and peer review of established principles and
goals to promote excellence in Christian ministry.
Among the principles addressed are governance and strategic planning; holistic care for the client;
community responsiveness; quality assurance and improvement; physical, financial and human resource
management.
Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices is a faith-based, not-for-profit business serving over 3,300 people
annually, and related to the East Ohio and West Ohio Conferences of the United Methodist Church.
Otterbein has five full-service retirement communities including Portage Valley at Pemberville, a home
health agency, and hospice care.
