The 77th annual banquet for Milton Township School Alumni was recently held at Lybarger-Grimm American
Legion in Tontogany.
The 46 graduates and guests in attendance were served a Swiss steak dinner. The classes of 1944 and 1954,
were the honored classes with Ruth Hass Haggerty and Gaylord Wagner attending from the ’44 class. No one
was present from the class of 1954.
The oldest member present was Irene Trumbull, at age 90. Jim Slater, president of this year’s event, was
recognized for traveling the farthest. Elizabeth Bostdorff, a local attorney, spoke to those attending
regarding estate planning.
Next year’s event will again be held at the Legion with Henry Krebs and members of his class as officers.
