A variety of events are upcoming through Otterbein Portage Valley Retirement Community, 20311 Pemberville
Road in eastern Wood County
Upcoming events scheduled, include, in order of date:
Lunch and Learn
The Pemberville location will be hosting a "Lunch and Learn: The Top Ten Mistakes Seniors Make When
Selling a Home." The July 17 program will include a complimentary lunch and program with Darcey
McKinley, realtor with Key Realty, as the featured speaker.
McKinley has more than 20 years of experience in the local real estate/construction/finance business
world. She specializes in helping retirees sell their homes in order to make a move to senior living. In
her presentation, She will share information that has proven to shorten the sales cycle of a home and
also helped to insure that the seller got a fair asking price for their home.

Community Music in the Air
Susan West, owner of the Studio Connection, a music instruction studio in Bowling Green, will be the
featured performer at Otterbein Portage Valley Senior Lifestyle Community in Pemberville, for the July
Music in the Air concert series. It will be on July 24
A complimentary luncheon will be served to guests at noon, and the concert and sing-a-long will follow
the meal.
West is a trained musician with degrees from Cedarville University and Ohio State University, She teaches
music in addition to performing in the Northwest Ohio region. To rsvp, or for more information, please

Pinterest Party
Pinterest! What is it? How do you use it? Everybody is talking about it and you should be, too!
If you like to learn new things and "Do it Yourself," then this event at 1:30 p.m. July 31 is
for you. The staff at Otterbein Portage Valley Lifestyle Community in Pemberville, will teach you to use
Pinterest and you’ll make something fun while you are there. Men and women are welcome to attend. Those
planning to attend should make a reservation and find a recipe on Pinterest that you will make and bring
