PERRYSBURG - The first in a monthly summer concert series featured The Glass City Dixieland Band on June 19.
Perrysburg Commons Retirement Center and Heartland of Perrysburg jointly hosted the concert on the lawn of The Commons' courtyard. Residents and guests were given flapper headbands and gangster hats to help go back in time, as the band entertained the standing room only crowd with their favorite music from the 1920s.
Ohioan's Home Care sponsored the event which was open to the community.
The next concert is scheduled at 7 p.m. July 17, as The Hot Flashes are scheduled to perform. The group entertains with favorite music from the 1950s.
The public is invited but are asked to please bring their own lawn chair, as this concert is a lawn event.
