The biennial Cygnet Alumni Banquet will be held May 31 at the Bowling Green Country Club, 923 Fairview
Ave.
There will be a social hour and cash bar starting at 4 p.m., followed by a buffet at 5.
Jim Burnside and Kenny Searfoss will present the program. In 2004, the Cygnet High School was demolished.
Burnside went through the school before and after the demolition and took over 70 pictures. He also
photographed the old bus garage, school bell on the front lawn, ball field and scout house.
Many of the large Cygnet graduating class pictures that once hung on the walls of the halls in the school
are on display at the Wood County Historical Museum and Burnside made copies of these.
All of these photos will be shown on a large screen at the banquet. Searfoss is supplying the equipment
needed for the presentation.
The banquet is open to the public. The cost is $20 per person. Reservations are due by May 17 and seating
