Community Center to offer yoga and Tai Chi classes

0

The Bowling Green Community Center will be offering two new classes geared towards those ages 65 and
over.
Monday mornings, beginning April 14, will be a Tai Chi class from 10-11 a.m. Tai Chi is a continuous
flowing, soft exercise of the upper and lower body that encourages blood circulation as it gently tones
and strengthens the organs, joints, and muscles as well as releasing tension. This class also helps
encourage balance and memory as you transition from position to position. The instructor, Master Paul
Choi, has 35 years of experience in teaching.
Friday mornings, beginning April 18, will be a Gentle Yoga class from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Gentle Yoga will
help participants unwind from the stress of the week and practice restful, restorative poses that clear
the mind and rejuvenate the body. The instructor, Amanda McGuire Rzicznek, is certified with the Yoga
Alliance and brings an understanding of alignment and modification to help everyone in the class enjoy
their time.
To register or for more information on these and other classes stop by the Community Center, 1245 W.
