Committee on Aging to hold Caregivers Night Out

0

Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. (WCCOA) invites caregivers of older adults from the Bowling Green
area to take a well-deserved break from 5-9 p.m. on April 11, a Friday, with a night out.
Many caregivers spend all of their time taking care of the ones they love. Although it is many times
rewarding, the stresses of caregiving can take a toll on the caregiver. The WCCOA wants to provide a
special night out to thank those caregivers for all of the special care they provide.
Caregivers participating in the event may choose from one of two "night out" options.
The first option includes a meal sponsored by Max & Erma’s, followed by shopping at Levis Commons
in Perry burg, sponsored by St. Clare Commons.
The second option is an alternative evening of spending time independently.
With the help from local home health care agencies, care recipients will receive quality companionship
from trained and bonded professionals during the night out.
Caregiver home health care sponsors include Senior Helpers, Right at Home Health Care, Interim
Healthcare, and Caretakers Home Care Services. Caregiver gift bags are sponsored by Heritage Corner
Health Care Campus.
This event is free, but space is limited. Register by March 28 by contacting the Programs Department at
the county senior center at 419-353-5661, 1-800-367-4935 or [email protected].
