The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. is currently scheduling their cholesterol screening clinics for November.
One must be a resident of Wood County and 25 years of age or older to participate.  
The cost is $20 for those 60 and over, $25 for those 25-59. These screenings require an appointment and pre-test instructions.
The screening panel includes:  Total cholesterol, HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol), triglycerides, total cholesterol/HDL ratio and a blood glucose level.  Results will be immediately available and discussed with clients by a registered nurse.

WATERVILLE - A community trick or treat will be hosted by Heartland of Waterville and Browning Masonic Community on Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. It will be held at Heartland, at 8885 Browning Drive.
This is a free event open to the public, with the goal of promoting a safe and fun trick-or-treating experience for Waterville and the surrounding community. There will be candy and activities for costumed children of all ages.
