|Alzheimer's Assoc. conference May 9 in Perrysburg|

PERRYSBURG - The Alzheimer's Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter, will host its annual conference on May 9 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m., at the Hilton Garden Inn, 6165 Levis Commons Blvd.
This year's conference is titled "Connecting, Coping, and Caring Through Creativity: A Conference for Individuals with Memory Loss, Caregivers, and Healthcare Professionals."
The conference will have one focus - how to incorporate creativity into life with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia.
Keynote presenter Beth Spencer is a national educator with a lively, commonsense approach.
Other speakers include Patrick Doyle, Ph.D., on fostering creativity; music therapist David Poitano; Bruno Giordani, Ph.D., on understanding brain connections and creativity; and Laura Rice-Oeschger, on a special project that collects personal stories.
The event is free for those with memory loss and family caregivers. Lunch and snacks are included.
There is a $50 fee for professionals or those needing CE credits.
