PEMBERVILLE - The Pemberville area community was invited to form teams and enter a "Pantry Project" as part of the Pemberville Free Fair.
The contest required the teams to build a creative structure using shelf stable items they then donated to the Pemberville Community Food Pantry. Four structures were built:  a windmill, an eye spy design, the word love spelled out, and a minion.
The Karen Young family of Pemberville won with their minion design. This event brought in more than 1,500 shelf stable product donations and nearly $200 cash for the local food pantry.
