LUCKEY - The installation of Pastor Randy Winsand at Zion Lutheran Church, Luckey, will be held Sunday, at the regular 9 a.m. worship service.
Led by Pastor Cathy Schibler from the Northwest Ohio Synod office, Findlay, those gathered will celebrate Holy Communion during the worship service with a brunch to meet and welcome Winsand following the worship service.
The church's new pastor grew up on a family farm in West Central Wisconsin before enlisting in the Air Force. He was a radio/radar technician on airplanes and is a veteran of Desert Storm. After completing an associate's degree in electronics, Winsand went on to work in the electronics/maintenance fields before going back to college in 2002 to finish a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing/management. Since then, he has been a sales manager and spent a year as an administrator of an assisted living community in Milwaukee before recognizing a call to seminary.
He is a graduate of Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. and was ordained June 30, at Hope Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Wis.
The public is invited to attend the installation to welcome Winsand to the community.
