FOSTORIA - Daoud Nassar, a Palestinian Christian farmer, returns to Northwest Ohio as part of his Fall 2013 U.S. tour, "Building Bridges of Love and Understanding."
The public is invited to attend the presentation by Nassar, whose family works its 100-acre farm and orchard just outside the town of Bethlehem.
It is on his farm that the family members strive to maintain a haven of peace and brother/sisterhood through activities at Tent of Nations, a peace and local education center established by the Nassar family in 2000.
International visitors, including many Israelis, join together to plant trees, harvest olives and fruit, teach at the Women's Education Center, lead activities in Youth Summer Camps, and come together in solidarity and shared goals in the pursuit of a just peace through non-violent activities.
He will be speaking on Nov. 2 at Hope Lutheran Church, 151 West Center St., Fostoria.
There will be a 5 p.m. service with Nassar preaching, followed by a 6 p.m. dinner, which is open to all, followed by Nassar's presentation at 7 p.m.
He is also scheduled to make a presentation at Bowling Green State University on Nov. 4.
Nassar visited the area in June with presentations in Perrysburg, Toledo, Fostoria and Ann Arbor.
