HOYTVILLE - The annual "Ice Cream Social" sponsored by the Hoytville United Methodist Church in Hoytville will be held July 20. Serving begins at 5 p.m.
Hoytville is located on Ohio routes 18 and 235 in southern Wood County.
Members of the church get together and make the ice cream, which is made entirely from scratch. There is never a mix used. The recipe has been passed down from generation to generation and organizers boast, "It is so good."
Ladies of the church get together to make their homemade noodles. Besides several flavors of ice cream and noodles, the menu will consist of chicken, barbecue beef and hot dog sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans, pie, cake and beverages.
The social is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible. Carryouts will be available.  Plan to attend this social for "homemade" food and lots of good fellowship.
