McCLURE - The gospel quartet Declaration, from Nashville, Tenn., will be in concert Saturday at Westhope Bible Church, J127 Ohio 65, McClure. The concert begins at 6 p.m. Promotional information from Declaration notes, "To declare something means to announce publicly and plainly. To make known and exhibit in any way. This is the mission of Declaration, to publicly and plainly make known the love and saving power of Jesus Christ through the means of quality music with strong Biblical lyrics." The group is composed of four young men committed to Christ, quality gospel music and what they call "a fun, powerful presentation that audiences of all ages will enjoy." Beginning in August of 2012, Declaration was touring all over the United States and Canada with the Booth Brothers. That tour has allowed Declaration the opportunity to not only gain international exposure, but hone their craft under the instruction of the Booth Brothers. They were named on Absolutely Gospels Top 10 Groups to watch in 2012. They were also featured in the SGN Scoops magazine, and two Artist Spotlight features on the Gospel Greats. The group received a top five nomination for Sunrise Group in the Diamond Awards, had two national singles, and made an appearance at the National Quartet Convention. All this while on a full-time concert schedule around the United States. Declaration consists of Joshua Horrell, Kasey Kemp, Jake Sammons and Dustin Leming. |
