The Bowling Green Ministerial Association will offer the Bowling Green community a series of weekly Lent Lunches on the theme "God in the Workplace," beginning Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Six local churches will serve as the hosts, providing and serving soup and salad on Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. The programs will be offered every Wednesday through March 27.
The luncheons will feature six non-clergy speakers from the community, addressing topics related to faith and the workplace. Paul Dobson, the Wood County Prosecutor, will be the opening speaker, offering his reflections on "How Do I Pray at Work?"
Other speakers in the ensuing weeks will be Jennifer Kephert, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity; Chris Dunn, Acting Dean of the BGSU College of Health and Human Services; Karen Mazzeo, BGSU School of Human Movement, Sport and Leisure Studies; Clint Cope, Manager of the BG Paneras Restaurant, and Thad Long, Associate Director of BGSU Facilities for Recreation and Wellness.
The topics will range from "The Disgruntled Colleague" to "Living through the Desert and Wilderness Times at Work."
The BGMA is an association of clergy from a wide range of Bowling Green Churches. The churches hosting are Trinity United Methodist Church, First Christian Church, First Presbyterian Church, St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Dayspring Assembly of God, and First United Methodist Church.
Trinity United Methodist Church is located at 200 N. Summit St., across from the County Courthouse, with parking available behind the church. There will be no set charge, with a freewill offering available.
