June Bible schools announced

With Memorial Day behind us and graduations being held, its the time when area churches begin holding the
annual Vacation Bible Schools.
Again this year, there will be a wide variety of programs for youth, and on occasion, adults, to learn
more about their faith.
Custar United Methodist Church kicks things off with its school running Monday through Friday from 6:30
to 8:30 p.m.
Using a game show theme, "Studio GO!," the "kid contestants" will be invited to come
on down to Studio GO! for a prime time Bible challenge packed with teamwork, service and fun. Organizers
say a "bonus round" will be held on June 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The game show school
is open those age 3 through sixth grade.

The following additional schools have been reported for June. They are listed alphabetically by date
being held.
¥ Village View Church of Christ, Bowling Green, June 7-11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The theme will be
"Paul and the Underground Church in Rome."
The closing program will be on the final night. Children will also be collecting supplies to send to the
Mountain Mission School in Grundy, Va.
¥ First Church of God, Risingsun, June 13. Registration will be held from 8 to 8:30 a.m. with the closing
held at 3:15 p.m. The program is open to those in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
¥ First Presbyterian Church, Perrysburg, invites the youth to find the extraordinary in the ordinary as
they discover heroes at "Hero Quest" Vacation Bible School. The school is open to those age 3
up to those starting fifth grade. It will be held June 14-18 with sessions running from 6:30 to 8:30
p.m. each day. Crafts, games, music, snacks and more will supplement the Bible stories.

¥ Weston Church of Christ will hold its "Studio GO" Vacation Bible School June 14-18 from 6:30
to 8:30 p.m. Its mission is "Operation Support Our Troops." For more information, contact the

¥ Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pemberville, will hold its annual Vacation Bible School June
15-19 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.
The theme is "God’s Big Backyard" and is open to pre-school children through eighth grade.

¥ St. Aloysius and St. Thomas More, the two Bowling Green Catholic parishes are again teaming for their
Vacation Bible Schools June 15-19 from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
The school is open to those age 4 through those entering sixth grade. Cost is $10 per child, plus a
donation of a snack or craft item.
The school will be held at St. Aloysius School.
This year’s theme is Son Rock Kids Camp."
The VBS picnic will be held at 5:30 p.m. on the final day at Bowling Green City Park. The entire family
is welcome to attend the picnic.
