Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Road, Bowling Green is hosting a part of the World Day of Prayer service on March 7 at 7 p.m.
Using the theme, "Streams in the Desert," the program involves women, men and children in more than 170 countries and regions, who will all celebrate the day.
A freewill offering will be collected and sent to Church Women United. The annual offering supports and helps meet the needs of families in Egypt and around the world who are victims of many forms of poverty, violence and injustice.
This year, the women of WDP Egypt invite all into a time of worship with the words of the prophet Isaiah; "I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert." Each year a different country's committee serves as the writers of the World Day of Prayer worship service.
Hope is handicap accessible and refreshments will be served following the service.
