The Wood County Historical Center and Museum is kicking off their monthly tea series in biblical proportions with the program "Gimme That Ol' Time Religion" on Thursday at 2 p.m.
Since the 1870s, the Portage Holiness Camp in Portage has provided a gathering place for Christian fellowship. The program will look at its long history in Northwest Ohio. Light refreshments and tea will be served before the program. Guests are welcome to take a self-guided tour of the museum before or after the tea.
Advanced reservations are necessary for all teas by calling (419) 352-0967. Seating is limited; groups are welcome. The museum is handicap accessible.
Tea prices are $12 for the general public and $10 for Wood County Historical Society members, and $3 for children age 10 and under.
Also available is the option of purchasing a 2013 Tea Card, which allows one to attend six teas in 2013 for the price of five. Tea Card prices are $60 for the general public and $50 for society members.
The museum is located at 13660 County Home Road in Bowling Green, one quarter-mile from Interstate 75. For more information visit www.woodcountyhistory.org or call Kelli Kling at (419) 352-0967.
